Onslow Memorial rated “High Performing” in three adult procedures and conditions by US News

ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. – Onslow Memorial Hospital (OMH) has been rated as “High Performing” in three adult procedures and conditions by U.S. News & World Report in their 2022-23 “Best Hospitals” rankings. OMH ranked high performing in the treatment of Kidney Failure, Heart Failure, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

“This award exemplifies the importance of integrating leading practice standards in day-to-day care,” says Jo Malfitano, Associate Vice President of Performance Improvement and Accreditation. “This wonderful recognition is further validation of the extraordinary work and commitment the Onslow Team embodies in ensuring quality and safety for the patients and community we serve.”

The U.S. News & World Report rankings and ratings are generated annually to help patients decide where to receive care. There are nearly 4,500 hospitals evaluated in patient outcomes including data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the American Hospital Association. A rating of “High Performing” indicates a hospital was significantly better than the national average in certain procedures and conditions.
