Moth­er-Baby Cou­plet Care

Onslow Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that we have fully transitioned to mother-baby couplet care, representing the best model for well-baby care. This means that moms and their newborn babies will receive necessary care together, in the same room. Additionally, Onslow Memorial Hospital has made adjustments to the level of services provided for newborns. We continue to maintain well baby services with a focus on mother-baby couplet care. Should the baby require additional support or need to be stabilized and transferred for specialty services, our nursery continues to be staffed 24/7 with expert nurse practitioners. All newborn care is provided under the supervision of UNC Pediatrics physicians.
