Our RESPONSE-ibility

March 01, 2020

When unexpected healthcare issues make their way into our community, we are the first line of defense, the first responders, and a source of information. With the recent diagnosis of COVID-19 in North Carolina, our neighbors are nervous and worried about what the future holds. And our response to their concerns, fears, and questions can make all the difference.

During this trying time in healthcare, we have to support one another. We need to work with our community partners to ensure we have a unified voice in responding to the community’s questions and concerns. We have to listen and reassure and provide insight and advice to those who are looking for it. We have to remain patient and remind people to wash their hands and stay calm. And we have to remind ourselves that we are a team, we will work through this together, encouraging one another.

And although there is still a lot of unknown surrounding the Coronavirus, we do know one thing. We are a family of passionate, caring, and talented individuals. I’m proud and thankful for all of the hard work and time you have put into ensuring this, and I am confident that we can rely on each other to meet and exceed the challenges that come our way. We will continue to update you all -- staff, providers and community -- with reliable information as we receive it. Stay healthy!
