Onslow Memorial Hospital Partners with Hope is Alive for the Holidays

December 03, 2024

JACKSONVILLE, NC – December 3, 2024 – This holiday season, Onslow Memorial Hospital (OMH) is excited to announce its partnership with Hope is Alive to bring joy and support to the residents of the Hubert House. OMH has launched a giving program called the Holiday Hope Tree, designed to provide Christmas gifts as well as necessary household items to the residents at Hope is Alive.

“At Onslow Memorial Hospital, we are deeply committed to caring for our patients and giving back to the community,” said Penney Burlingame Deal, President and CEO of Onslow Memorial Hospital. “Partnering with Hope is Alive allows us to extend our mission of providing a family-centered environment beyond our walls during this special time of year.”

Through this partnership, OMH staff, patients, and visitors are invited to participate by donating items from the donation list or making monetary contributions. All donations will be accepted until December 13th and will be delivered to the Hope is Alive House on December 15th.

“One of the most remarkable blessings I've witnessed at Hope is Alive is the restoration of families,” said Carra Harris, Community Outreach Coordinator at Hope is Alive. “When Hope is Alive says we are ‘radically changing the lives of addicts, alcoholics, and those that love them,’ we truly mean it. Children are joyfully being reunited with their sober mothers and fathers! These men and women are now reconnecting with their children and making wonderful memories together. Hope is Alive, is vital in establishing a strong foundation that enables these precious moments to happen,” Harris continued.

The Holiday Hope Tree initiative reflects Onslow Memorial Hospital's ongoing commitment to fostering a strong and healthy community. By supporting Hope is Alive, we aim to bring hope, warmth, and a sense of belonging to those who need it most this holiday season.
