Onslow Memo­r­i­al Hos­pi­tal Hosts 2^nd Annu­al Hop into Health

A free community health screening event and Easter Egg Hunt

Onslow Memorial Hospital (OMH) will host the 2nd Annual Hop into Health event, a free community health screening event on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The health screenings will take place inside the Onslow Memorial Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, while community resource tables and the Easter Egg Hunt will be held outside on the front lawn.

"As we host our second annual event, we are reaffirming our commitment to proactive health management and empowering individuals with knowledge about local health resources. We are bringing vital health screenings and resources together in one convenient location to make healthcare more accessible for everyone."

Several routine health screenings will be available, including blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, hearing tests, and STI screenings, as well as cancer screenings for skin, colorectal, and prostate cancers. Additional health education opportunities will feature Hands-Only CPR training and nutrition and fitness education provided by Registered Dietitians and Personal Trainers.

In addition to services provided through Onslow Memorial Hospital, community resource organizations participating in the event include the Onslow County Health Department, Onslow Community Paramedics, Senior Services, United Way, OHLA, Caring Community Clinic, Trillium One Community, Crunch Fitness, Onslow Parks & Recreation, and the Jacksonville Police Department, among others.

There will be two waves for the Easter Egg Hunt: the first will begin at 2:00 p.m. for ages 0-3, where parents can assist, and the second at 2:45 p.m. for ages 4-8, where assistance from parents is not allowed.
