Onslow earns AHA Get With The Guide­lines Awards

For the first time, the American Heart Association has presented OMH The Get With The Guidelines® Stroke Gold Plus with Honor Roll achievement award. This is for improving stroke outcomes through reduced door-to-needle times of 60 minutes or less for eligible ischemic (restriction of blood supply) stroke patients.

“We are honored to receive this recognition for the hard work and dedication our employees put forth for our patients,” Performance Improvement Director Jo Malfitano says.

For the fourth consecutive year, the hospital has achieved AHA’s Get With The Guidelines-Heart Failure Gold Plus recognition for quality care for heart failure patients.

“These awards are opportunities to celebrate the hospital’s achievements, but this is a celebration for Onslow Memorial Hospital’s patients who are receiving guideline-based care and a higher quality of life because of all that you do,” AHA Senior Director for Quality and Systems Improvement Abby Fairbank says.
