We are all ambassadors

We are all ambassadors

During orientation and mandatories, I have asked you all to be ambassadors for the organization. The etiology of the word 'ambassador' includes a few noteworthy items. The French and Spanish origins mention "a messenger, servant" and "drive, lead". A biblical reference states that "to do injury to an ambassador was to insult that which he represents." I believe we are all blessed to be able to be servant messengers for Onslow Memorial Hospital and for each other.

As ambassadors for the organization to the community, we can drive the ability to have a deeper understanding of who we are and how we care for our patients. I cannot fathom any other outcome than community engagement, support and respect if they truly knew what you all do on a daily basis. I challenge you all to strive for community engagement by acting as ambassadors for OMH and providing a consistent message that we are a wonderful organization with skilled, caring people here. I know that! Let's get the message to our community that we are privileged and proud to be serving them and we do it well.

Happy Holidays!
