Cancer care doesn’t take just one healthcare provider, it takes a village. Onslow Memorial has assembled a team of oncologists, surgeons, nurses and technicians, all passionate about providing the best possible cancer treatment, therapy and care, close to home.
From state-of-the-art diagnostics and imaging technology to the most advanced surgical equipment, Onslow is dedicated to offering oncologists and surgeons the very best tools to diagnose, treat and manage a wide range of cancer conditions. The recent addition of da Vinci Robotic Surgery means our surgeons have the ability to provide patients with minimally invasive surgery for intensive cancer procedures, helping them heal faster and get home faster.
Keeping care close to home is a priority for Onslow Memorial. Our radiation oncology services, developed in partnership with Vidant Health, are part of our mission to provide excellent patient health services in a healing and family-centered environment. Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art cancer care close to home, so you and your family can focus on healing.
Onslow Memorial Hospital has received Accreditation with Commendation from the Commission on Cancer for our cancer care. Less than 25% of hospitals have earned this distinction for level of care and improved patient outcomes. Click here to learn more.

Our 2016 Cancer Program Annual Report reflects the accomplishments and dedication of a passionate team of people at Onslow Memorial Hospital and Onslow Radiation Oncology.
Onslow Memorial Hospital has been meeting the needs of our community for almost 70 years and continues to expand its services to keep pace with the growing city of Jacksonville and greater Onslow County. In fact, Onslow County is America’s fastest growing county over the past five years, according to the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis. And with this “boom” has come a need to meet the increasing healthcare demands of our community. One service area that has continued to expand is oncology.
Onslow Memorial Hospital is always on a journey to help our community live healthier and happier lives. As part of our community outreach in 2016, we provided several free cancer screenings to the community, including a skin cancer screening, clinical breast exam and prostate screening. We know that early detection helps save lives.
In addition to these screenings, the hospital’s cancer program conducted a community cancer survey to better understand how to meet the needs of our community. To view the results of the pain management survey click here.
