Hospital receives prestigious Gold and Silver awards for Heart and Stroke Care

Onslow Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce it has been awarded the American Heart Association (AHA) Get With The Guidelines®-Heart Failure Gold Quality Achievement Award and the AHA/American Stroke Association's Get With The Guidelines®-Stroke Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award.

The Gold Quality Achievement Award recognizes the hospital's commitment to ensuring heart failure patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines based on the latest scientific evidence.
 
"Our goal is always to apply evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes and reduce readmissions for our patients," said Jo Malfitano, DNP, Director of Performance Improvement & Accreditation. "These awards are one more visible confirmation that we are meeting our goals. It's a testament to the quality of our healthcare providers and the passionate commitment our staff provides to our patients."
