Robotic surgery has arrived at OMH – try the da Vinci robot at our Open House
Here’s your chance to test drive a robot.
And no, this isn’t science fiction.
At a hands-on open house for its new da Vinci Surgical Robot, Onslow Memorial Hospital is allowing local residents to man the controls and experience first-hand what this amazing healthcare technology can do.
“The da Vinci offers great benefits to patients,” said OMH spokesperson Tim Strickland. “With minimally invasive techniques and video-assisted technology, patients will recover more quickly. And the robot also enhances the accuracy of the procedure.”
The open house will take place in the hospital’s Surgical Services lobby from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 26. For convenient access, park on the west side of the hospital campus. To see a campus map, click here and look for the Surgical Services entrance at the top of the map.
“Come on down and take the da Vinci for a spin,” Strickland said. “You’ll be impressed by this latest step forward in quality local healthcare.”
