Expert Tip of the Week: The more fun, the better

Experts say getting children to exercise and eat healthy starts with daily choices that can have lifetime benefits.

Creating a daily atmosphere of healthy nutritional choices and physical activity are two important steps take to ensure children develop a healthy relationship with food and exercise, they say. And adds Heather Bradburn, the Shape NC coordinator for Onslow County Partnership for Children, the best way to begin is to lead by example. Shape NC is a new statewide initiative from NCPFC and Blue Cross and Blue Shield designed to helps combat and prevent childhood obesity.
